Engineering College Admission Test (ECAT)

ECAT is the mandatory entry test for admission to public and private engineering universities across Punjab, including UET Lahore and its campuses. It is a 100-MCQ, computer-based test covering Maths/Biology, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Statistics, plus English, with no negative marking.

Format: 100 MCQs, computer-based test (CBT), 100 minutes
Negative marking: None — every correct answer earns marks
Merit formula: FSc 50% + best ECAT score 40% + Matric 10%
Attempts: Best score of Phase 1 & Phase 2 is used
